Do I need surround sound computer speakers?

Yes, yes, yes! Actually no. You can get by with a set of headphones. However this site is not about needs it is about WANTS! If you're anything like us you want great quality surround sound.

If you have a fast computer, graphics card and a decent sound card why would you skimp on speakers? Remember the quality of your gaming, music or movie watching experience is limited by the weakest link.

If you don't have large agressive neighbour's with sensitive hearing then I highly recommend getting a powerful sub woofer. Gun shots sound amazing when they're properly amplified with thick bass response and of course explosions in movies make your teeth rattle.

For games you have to hear EAX 3.0 in action to believe what is does to first person shooters. Actually being able to hear where enemies are is great because you don't waste time spinning around in circles trying to see who's shooting at you.
