Creative Labs I-Trigue 2.1 3300 Computer Speaker Review
Not bad but there may be better choices for the money
The Creative Labs I-Trigue 2.1 3300 speakers have three drivers, essentially three speaker cones on each speaker and with a system capabilities of 80 watts you can be sure the SimCity theme has never sounded so good. Seriously though if you are looking for computer speakers to appreciate that ever-expanding mp3 collection, you could do a lot worse than the Creative Labs I-Trigue 2.1 3300.
Creative Labs I-Trigue 2.1 3300: Vertical Drivers
The vertical three driver orientation make the I-Trigue 3300 a good looking speak to have on your desktop and they look great alongside a flat screen monitor. The big floor placed sub woofer is similarly styled and for what it is worth the I-Trigue 3300 is a good looking computer speaker system.
Really though good looks is not the first feature you would look for in a speaker system and the sound produced by the Creative Labs I-Trigue 2.1 3300 computer speakers is superb and it should be for the $80 you will be expected to pay for the Creative Labs I-Trigue 2.1 3300 system.
Audio quality as we've already said is superb. Bass is clearly defined with no muddiness and the higher ranges are all crisp. The BASH system does it's job of preventing distortion even at maximum volume. When you have transiently loud sections of a movie or game you'll get a clear powerful signal which is all you want really.
Here are the specifications:
- Wired command module
- 2 satellites, 9 watts x 2
- Subwoofer power: 25 Watts RMS
- Frequency response: 30 Hz to 20kHz
- No Dolby decoding
Mid Range: Creative Labs I-Trigue 2.1 3300
The Creative Labs I-Trigue 2.1 3300 computer speakers have three drivers and claim a frequency response between 30 Hz and 20kHz. If we were to look for a downside on these speakers if would be in the mid range frequency, however. The two satellite speakers drivers are tweeters and Creative Labs have left the midrange up to the sub woofers - which does leave a gap.
As a result of this the Creative Labs I-Trigue 2.1 3300 are probably not the first choice if you are looking for monitors for hi fidelity voice only applications, such as monitors in radio editing as the human voice is situated in the midrange; but outside of such specific applications the Creative Labs I-Trigue 2.1 3300 will suit most computer speaker need very well.
Our Conclusion for the Creative Labs I-Trigue 2.1 3300
The Creative Labs I-Trigue 2.1 3300 computer speakers are a high quality two satellite and subwoofer computer speaker system. They look great and have a great sound for a reasonable cost.
Personally I would prefer the Yamaha YST-MS50 as the sound quality of this system is slightly better but so much of sound is subjective you should compare these two models carefully for your own preference.
